First in the World championships, first at the pre Olympic test event and numerous medals at grade one regattas, sounds like a list of a seasons results for Team Draper Hiscocks. However this year Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes did exactly that. Hard to argue with a team that have steadily performed over this cycle against one that looks on paper to have fallen from there perch. So it is that Stevie and Ben have been selected to take the coveted GBR 49er Olympic slot. We certainly can not complain, the Olympic Selection Comittee have chosen a team that are well capable of winning a 49er Gold medal. After Silver medal in Sydney and a Bronze in Athens it is time for a Gold in Bejing. The pressure is on lads!

This, at least for the time being, marks the end of the Draper Hiscocks 49er campaign. However we are both looking to new horizons and would also like to do some sailing together.

This is a perfect opportunity to say a big thank you to all our supporters, we are always amazed at the amount and level of support we see from strangers through to our friends, sponsors and families. There are far too many to list here and we are bound to miss some one important out, but you know who you are and we are very gratefull.

It has been a fantastic time sailing together and as part of what is now known as Skandia Team GBR, this team continues to grow and really represents an ideal of sporting excellence. We have been proud to be part of that and it is a testament to the skills of various menbers of the RYA and the sailors that the Olympic team will be once again fully capable of holding the top nation position.

We wish everyone the best of leg breaking luck and once again thank every one for their help and support.
