September 2007

We finished 8th at the Cascais worlds, which marks the end, for us, of a five year run in the top two, like all things in life nothing is for ever....
Congratulations must got to Stevie and Ben who dominated the event in a similar, perhaps more so, style to our selfes in Cadiz four years ago when faced with a similar challenge. On that occasion we were selected on the spot for the 2004 Athens Olympics. This time the selectors having realsied that it was too soon to select on the spot will make there decision on 1st September. We wait til then to see if the trials will be extended. It is out of our hands, what we must now do tho is to ask our selfes why after so long in the top few have we failed to deliver when it matters ?

We will write a full report on the outcome of what happens and what we will do next in the next month or so. In the mean time its time for a bit of a break and to step back as far as possible to try and get as good a picture as possible of how and why etc. Any ideas on a postcard please!.....

Have a look at how we solved this slight problem,When we found our Miami container to be blocked in...

We are pleased to announce the addition of Holmenkol as a supplier sponsor. They produce a range of polishes and lubrication systems which we have found to be of real benefit. See there page here for our favourite products. All there products are available from all good chandlers.

The Dinghy show saw the launch of the Skandia Team GBR magazine / its a unique insight into the inner workings of Skandia Team GBR and well worth a look, read more on the book here.

Fun and succesful sailing.
